Deb Macintyre has been actively involved in and around the Perth jazz scene for a number of years now and with a repertoire that ranges from earthy blues ballads, upbeat cosmopolitan swing, funky jazz melodies its not hard to see why Deb is one of Perth's most sought after jazz singers.

Deb's beautiful and divine voice also betrays her influences: Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O'Day, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Carmen McRae, Sarah Vaughan, Betty Carter and Dinah Washington to name a few - all singers to whom Deb is proud to pay respects. Deb's background also includes gospel and is evident in her soulful approach to jazz standards.

In a jazz setting, Deb Macintyre most often works with her own exciting vibrant trio, but also has access to the best jazzmen and musicians that Perth has on offer. In recent performances Deb has included as part of her repertoire a number of contemporary tunes which feature greats such as Burt Bacharach, The Carpenters, James Taylor, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder to name just a few.

The Deb Macintyre Combo has performed at a number of private and corporate functions ( eg City of Perth Food & Wine Festival and Fremantle Arts Festival ) over the last few years, which have included weddings, corporate funcionts , receptions, concerts, gallery openings, Christmas Eve and Christmas functions, special events, Melbourne Cup and New Year's Eve.
Past performances have seen Deb perform in venues which include: His Majesty's Theatre and Government House (for the Governor-General and other dignitaries). Members of the Deb Macintyre Combo are currently existing and graduated WAAPA students and teachers.
