Juliana Areias international career includes a performance at the revered Montreux Jazz Festival. While living in New Zealand, Juliana has also performed at the Auckland Festival and worked for the University of Auckland as a Brazilian Music expert. Her official debut in Perth happened in 2009, a full house concert at Kulcha - The Multicultural Arts Centre of Western Australia, leading the Aquarela Band.

From silky bossas to sultry sambas, Juliana Areias has a vast repertoire of over 500 songs, embracing the best of the Traditional and Contemporary Brazilian Musical Spectrum and a fine selection of Jazz, Beatles, Pop Rock, French, Italian and Spanish tunes all performed with a special Brazilian flavour. Teaming up with some of the most versatile instrumentalists in Western Australia and acting as the lead singer of So Brazil, Jazz Brazil and Ginga Brazil Projects; Juliana has been performing at events that include: Live @ Woodside, Chilli Festival, Sculpture by the Sea Exhibition in Cottesloe Beach, Fremantle Festival, Sunset @ Subi Series, City of Perth Concert Series; ABC, RTR and Fremantle Radio Stations and at corporate events for clients including: The Fremantle Hospital, Saint John of God Hospital and Flight Centre.
